"Dude gotta be faded": Fans react to throwback video of a young Shedeur Sanders talking about his college offers with Coach Prime

Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes' starting quarterback, received plenty of interest from some of the best CFB programs in the country during his high school days. Deion Sanders' son received offers from LSU, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, Michigan, Flordia, Tennessee and Florida State among others.

In a throwback video shared by MaxPreps on their Instagram account on Saturday, Sanders was seen talking about his college offers with his father.

"LSU, a real top, top school. UTEP, they gave me an opportunity," Sanders said when asked about the colleges that made an offer to him.

Fans took notice of the video and poured in their reactions. Some fans imagined how Sanders would've looked had he committed to either the LSU Tigers or the UTEP Miners.

"Bro shoulda commited to UTEP," one fan said.
"Sanders at LSU would have been tuf," another fan said.
"Utep baby hahahaaa," one fan said.

A few fans even joked about how the young quarterback looked during the interview.

Shedeur Sanders eventually committed to Jackson State to play for his father, who was the head coach of the Tigers from 2020 to 2022. However, he later transferred to Colorado when Deion took the Buffaloes' head coaching job.


A look at Shedeur Sanders' high school career

Shedeur Sanders played high school football at Trinity Leadership High School in Cedar Hill, Texas. He played three seasons for the Tigers and led them to an overall record of 39-3 during his time there.

In 41 total games for the Tigers, Sanders completed 63.5% of his passes and threw for 8,925 yards, 123 touchdowns and just 19 interceptions. He had a QB rating of 128.2 after three seasons with the team.

The quarterback's best season came during his last year with the team. As a Junior, Shedeur Sanders played 14 games and led his team to a record of 13-1 while completing 73.7% of his passes. He threw for 3,477 yards, 47 touchdowns and just four interceptions en route to winning the TAPPS Division II title.

The current Colorado quarterback was ranked no.483 in the nation and was the 38th-best player at his position from the class of 2021, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He was also the 71st overall recruit from the state of Texas and was a three-star prospect.
