Five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers decommitted from Missouri on Monday. The standout from Horn High School (Texas) was the Tigers' highest-rated offensive line recruit in the 2025 class.
Rogers’ decommitment follows an unofficial visit to Columbia on Oct. 19, where he attended Missouri’s 21-17 homecoming victory over Auburn. However, the visit didn’t help Eliah Drinkwitz's program to keep up his commitment.
"After many thoughts, prayers and conversations with my family I have decided to decommit from the University of Missouri. I’d like to thank the Missouri staff for the opportunity and thank you B. Jones and M. Bland for your mentorship over the years," Rogers wrote in his decommitment announcement on X.
Missouri’s staff made a late push to get Rogers back on campus for their Nov. 9 game against Oklahoma but were unsuccessful. Rogers had initially committed to Missouri in July, choosing the Tigers over programs such as Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
The Tigers' 2025 recruiting class features three offensive line commits: Henry Fenuku, Keiton Jones and Jack Lange. With 17 total commitments, Missouri’s class ranks No. 18 nationally and No. 11 in the Southeastern Conference. Rogers is the fifth player from the 2025 class to decommit after interior offensive lineman Julian Marks, wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, safety Dyllon Williams and edge rusher Joshua Lewis.
However, Missouri also got back-to-back boosts on Monday, as the Tigers flipped running back Marquise Davis from Kentucky and wide receiver DaMarion Fowlkes from Pittsburgh.
Texas A&M is trending for Lamont Rogers following his decommitment from Missouri
On3’s Steve Wiltfong predicted Lamont Rogers would flip his commitment to Texas A&M two months ago.
“The Aggies have continued to chip away, what they are doing on the field this season has (Rogers’) attention," Wiltfong said in October (per MSN).
The momentum behind Rogers' potential flip gained more steam as 247Sports’ Mike Roach and Tom Loy also predicted he would end up in College Station.
With his decommitment, Rogers is strongly trending towards Texas A&M. He has been a regular visitor to College Station and first visited Kyle Field on Oct. 5, when Texas A&M routed Missouri 41-10. He then returned for the Aggies' 38-3 victory over New Mexico State on Nov. 16 and was present for their 17-7 loss to Texas on Saturday.
The Aggies already hold six in-state commitments on the line, including four-stars Nelson McGuire, Marcus Garcia and Jonte Newman. Adding Rogers would boost their class and help offset the recent loss of five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet, who flipped to USC last month.
Mike Elko's program also remains in pursuit of other elite talents, including five-star Oklahoma offensive tackle commit Michael Fasusi and four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles.
