Jerzey Robinson, the 16-year-old shooting guard from Chatsworth, CA, put the court on fire with her performance against Bishop Gorman Girls on Dec. 14 at the Nike EYBL Chosen-1’s Invitational.
The 6-foot-0 standout from Sierra Canyon High School led her team to a 66-43 victory. Playing for 29 minutes, the youngster dropped 31 points and 19 rebounds, decimating the opponent's defense and grabbing victory. The “NBA Future Now” posted the highlights of her game on its Instagram handle on Dec. 15.
The No. 3 nationally ranked player in 247sports ranking for 2026 class can be seen effortlessly moving through the defense and making precise long range shots. Hoops fans couldn't hold their excitement and flooded the comment section with admiration and praise.
One fan, mesmerized by the impressive display of basketball skills, compared the youngster to Orlando Magic’s power forward Paolo Banchero:
“Female Banchero🔥,” he wrote.
Another fan was in awe of her rising talent and confidently called her a future star:
“Big Jerz, Y'all, stop playing with her! She really the one.”
Yet another enthusiastically uttered:
“Go Crazy Jerz !!!❤️”
Fans also couldn't help but speculate about her WNBA prospects. Marveling at her readiness for the next level, one fan exclaimed:
“Skip college and go straight to WNBA”
Others joined in with words like:
“She gonna be a top 5 pick in WNBA draft if she keep this up”
And:
“She is WNBA ready.”
Jerzey Robinson claims she can beat Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards
Jerzey Robinson definitely has skills, but can she take on an NBA-level player? According to the No. 1 SG in California, she can take Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards. It seems like a bold claim, given that Edwards, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard, is a talented player averaging 26.2 points per game.
Speaking on the "Sloane Knows" podcast back in November, Jerzey Robinson revealed her dream matchup.
"I want to play against Ant for sure. Yeah I want to play against Ant," Robinson shared.
Not only that, but she was also confident about the final score. When the host, Sloane, asked how many baskets she could get, the young SG exclaimed:
"If I get ball first, I'm going to say 11-10 me. I'm always saying me and it's going to be me till it's proven wrong," claimed Robison.
On paper, the 2023 FIBA U16 Americas Championship MVP definitely looks like a strong challenger. She averaged 20.9 points and 6.9 rebounds for the 2024 USA Women's U17 National Team. Besides, in her sophomore year at Sierra Canyon High School, she averaged 22.5 ppg and 10.8 rpg per game.
In any case, Jerzey Robinson vs. Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards can be a treat for hoops fans. They can't wait to witness the ultimate clash between two prodigious basketball players.
