Five-star Alabama interior offensive lineman commit Michael Carroll will take an official visit to Colorado this weekend for the Utah game. The Buffaloes offered him in September, and this will mark his first-ever trip to Boulder.
Carroll confirmed his Colorado visit by sharing On3's post on his Instagram story, with the caption,
“Perfect timing 👀🦬”
The phrase "perfect timing" seems interesting, as we are less than a month away from the early signing period. This month has already witnessed several flips, including the most recent one of five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham's move from Alabama to Ole Miss.
For now, Carroll remains committed to Alabama, and his social media presence suggests he values the connection with the program. Last month, he shared a post from a fan page that strongly advocated for the Crimson Tide to keep him.
"I gotta say, if there is a recruit in this class that Alabama HAS to keep. Give me [Michael] Carroll @BIIGMIKE_55! This dude’s athleticism is unreal! He is nasty at the POC. He will level you & he is coming quick, best puller in this class. I think he could be the #1 OT as well," the post read.
However, the upcoming visit to Colorado will speak volumes about Carroll's plans. Deion Sanders and his coaching staff have gained momentum in the recruiting world in the last few weeks by flipping several players, with rumors swirling that they are in the mix to flip five-star quarterback Julian Lewis from USC. If Colorado can land Lewis, it may influence Carroll’s decision-making process.
Meanwhile, Alabama's 2025 class has already witnessed 12 decommitments. Four-star edge rusher commit Dawson Merritt is also predicted to flip to Nebraska soon, according to 247Sports' "Crystal Ball".
Michael Carroll received Oregon offer last month
Michael Carroll has been committed to Alabama since June 10, but multiple programs have reached out to him in the last few months. Dan Lanning's Oregon is the latest program to offer him a scholarship on Oct. 6.
"Extremely Honored to Earn my 40th Division One Offer from The University of Oregon 🦆 @105CoachTerry," Carroll posted on X, tagging Oregon offensive line coach A'lique Terry.
Oregon has two interior offensive linemen in its 2025 class: five-star Douglas Utu and three-star Demetri Manning. The cycle ranks No. 7 in the nation with 16 committed players.
