With players like five-star prospect Michael Carroll, Alabama's 2025 class is one of the best in the nation. The standout offensive lineman from IMG Academy was named the No. 1 interior offensive lineman signee in the country, according to On3's latest rankings.
Carroll celebrated the achievement on X, retweeting On3's post with the caption:
"#1 In The Nation, Roll Tide ✅🐘."
At 6-foot-6 inches and 315 pounds, Carroll is a physically imposing prospect with 33-inch arms and 11-inch hands. His phenomenal run-blocking ability and exceptional skills as a puller allow him to excel at the second level, where he consistently overpowers defenders. His physical tools and technical prowess make him one of the most coveted offensive linemen in the nation.
Carroll is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in Florida and the No. 14 overall recruit nationally by On3’s Industry Rankings. The top 10 list of interior offensive linemen also includes standout prospects such as Soloman Thomas (LSU), Josh Petty (Georgia Tech), Carius Curne (LSU), Devin Harper (Ole Miss), Douglas Utu (Oregon), Jaylen Gilchrist (Maryland), SJ Alofaituli (Miami), Jack Lange (Missouri) and Cortez Smith (Georgia).
Michael Carroll sets lofty aspirations for Alabama journey
Michael Carroll is counting down the days until he joins Alabama. With a billboard celebrating his accomplishments and a move-in date just weeks away, he is ready to take on the challenge of competing in the Southeastern Conference.
"I just can't wait to go to work, be humble & put my head down," Carroll told On3.
247Sports analyst Cooper Petagna praised Carroll's ability to fill critical needs for Alabama’s offensive line.
"When you see him off the hook, you think tackle. But he actually fits the needs of this Alabama program," Petagna said. "He’s a young guy physically that can slide in next to someone like Caden Proctor and anchor that left side of the line. He has a high floor and can handle the physicality of the SEC immediately."
Andrew Ivins of 247Sports raved about Carroll’s ability as a run blocker, saying:
"This guy is a nasty puller. When he climbs, he's looking to tattoo linebackers."
Michael Carroll’s journey to Alabama mirrors the successful paths of IMG Academy alumni like Evan Neal and J.C. Latham, who became instant contributors in Tuscaloosa.
