Alabama signee Dijon Lee has exceptional strength and a great change of direction. He is set to compete for early playing time in the Crimson Tide’s secondary. He is preparing for the Under Armour All-American Game and proved his potential during Monday’s practice session by excelling in individual drills.
At a towering 6-foot-3 frame, Lee's skillset aligns perfectly with Alabama’s vision for him as a long, physical boundary cornerback, who is capable of making tackles and creating big plays. This role has been a key point in Alabama’s recruiting pitch, which Lee has embraced wholeheartedly.
"I see Domani Jackson and Zabien Brown," Lee said, via Touchdown Alabama on Sunday. "I talk about them a lot cuz they're from California and they just went over there to fit right into it. So I feel like I can do the same thing, why not me?"
Lee was initially moved to cornerback from linebacker by his grandfather and has since grown into one of the top prospects in the 2025 class.
Ranked as the No. 4 cornerback by On3, Lee is eager to embrace the intensity of college football.
"I'm just really excited to go to the SEC, play some good football, get to know my teammates better," Lee said. "I'm just ready to go down there and work and feel what I'm capable of."
Dijon Lee is also the No. 2-ranked recruit in California and the No. 23-ranked prospect in the nation.
Dijon Lee opens up about strong push from other schools
Dijon Lee initially had a strong connection with Washington, and his admiration for Kalen DeBoer’s coaching style played a big role in his decision. When DeBoer moved from Washington to Tuscaloosa after Nick Saban’s retirement, it didn’t take long for Alabama to make its move.
While Georgia, USC and Washington were in hot pursuit, Lee ultimately chose the Crimson Tide.
"Texas A&M definitely made a push for me in Georgia," Lee told On3. "Washington did too, but I really just wanted to play in the SEC to be honest. So it just felt like it was home over there."
Dijon Lee is one of three five-star commits in Alabama’s 2025 class, which ranks No. 2 in the nation with 22 commits. The class has acquired five transfer players as well.
