Five-star quarterback Deuce Knight remains the crown jewel of Auburn's 2025 class. The standout from George County High School in Mississippi is one of the best seniors in the nation, regardless of position.
Knight had a moment to show his pride in Auburn's impressive recruiting efforts when On3 released its list of the top 10 players from Alabama in the 2025 class. Aside from Oregon-bound five-star cornerback Na’eem Offord and Ohio State-bound four-star edge rusher Zion Grady, the other eight players on the list were all Auburn commits.
On Sunday, Deuce Knight retweeted the post with three eagle emojis, signifying the War Eagle greeting and chant of the Tigers community:
"🦅🦅🦅."
The Auburn commits on the list include edge rusher Jared Smith, safety Anquon Fegans, athlete Derick Smith, safety Eric Winters, defensive lineman Malik Autry, running back Alvin Henderson, linebacker Jakaleb Faulk and defensive lineman Antonio Coleman.
With 25 total commitments in the 2025 class, Auburn ranks No. 4 in the Southeastern Conference and No. 6 nationally. The class also includes 14 transfer players.
Deuce Knight opens up about his lofty aspirations
Deuce Knight is the highest-ranked quarterback in Mississippi. He was initially a Notre Dame commit from last year till Oct. 2 of this fall before flipping to Auburn after taking multiple visits. His decision was influenced by a desire to replicate the success of Cam Newton, who led the Tigers to a national championship in 2010.
Beyond football, Knight is also a standout track athlete and has earned three state titles in track, including two in the long jump and one in the high jump. His commitment to excellence extends to every aspect of his life, with Knight sharing a powerful mindset.
“Everyday God allows you to wake up, so why not try to go out and do everything you can to the best of your ability,” Knight told WXXV25. “Obviously my family as well. They’re not going to settle for just being mediocre, so I just want to go out and put a name out for my family.
“All these guys around me, I don’t want to let them down, so I’ve got to get out there and give them my best.”
Deuce Knight is the No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 class and the No. 35 prospect in the nation, according to Rivals.
