The next chapter for the 2025 recruiting class is here, as signees across the nation move into their college programs. Auburn is no exception, with five-star quarterback Deuce Knight making his arrival on campus after a phenomenal high school career and a standout performance at the Under Armour All-American game.

Auburn offensive analyst Jesse Stone celebrated the moment on X, sharing a photo with Knight and captioning it:

"Yessir!! Move in Day!! 🏠 #WarDamnEagle 🦅."

Knight retweeted the post and expressed his own excitement with a simple word:

"WDE🦅."

Knight capped off his high school career in style, earning MVP honors at the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game last month. Despite Team Mississippi's 35-29 loss to Alabama, he recorded 176 passing yards, 139 rushing yards and three total touchdowns. This performance placed him in elite company, alongside past winners like A.J. McCarron, D.K. Metcalf and George Pickens.

At George County High School in Mississippi, Knight proved his dual-threat capabilities during his senior season, amassing 2,256 passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns while also rushing for 484 yards and adding 12 rushing touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.

Knight is the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 class and the No. 27 prospect in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. His skills earned him a top-10 spot on 247Sports' annual "Freaks List."

Deuce Knight raves about future competitor at the Auburn QB room

Hugh Freeze has faced criticism for his management of Auburn’s quarterback situation, but he has managed to adorn the 2025 class with promises. After successfully flipping Deuce Knight from Notre Dame and successfully signing him, Freeze made another splash by bringing in former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold through the transfer portal.

Arnold recorded 1,421 passing yards and 12 touchdowns, while also rushing 150 times for 444 yards and three touchdowns in the 2024 season. His presence as a veteran signal-caller offers Auburn stability and leadership, but it also sets up a challenging quarterback competition for next season.

However, Knight is unfazed by the challenge and instead raved about Arnold, saying via AL:

“Jackson is a great quarterback. It’s going to be fun getting to play alongside him, getting to learn from him. He’s a great quarterback. Iron sharpens Iron.”

Knight is ready to put on the No. 2 orange & blue jersey for Auburn next season, and his competition with Arnold in the QB room will be a thing to watch.
