Five-star tight end Kendre Harrison has been in the limelight for his sudden transfer to Charlotte Providence Day after leading Reidsville Senior High School to two 2A State Titles in his sophomore year. However, he ultimately returned to Reidsville last month to continue his junior season.
Besides his on-field performance, Harrison is engaging with college programs through game-day visits. This weekend he'll visit Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks, who will be up against Ohio State at Autzen Stadium. He shared the news on X, writing:
"Oregon this weekend #UPDASCO🦆🦆🦆🦆."
The No. 3 Oregon team is undefeated and has notable players including quarterback Dillon Gabriel, wide receiver Tez Johnson, and running back Jordan James. They are aiming to continue their winning streak as they face a tough opponent in Ohio State, who recently hired Chip Kelly as their new offensive coordinator. It's worth noting that Chip Kelly previously led the Ducks from 2009 to 2012.
The No. 2 Ohio State is also undefeated and will rely on key talents, including quarterback Will Howard, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and running back Quinshon Judkins. This thrilling encounter will also mark the first time the top-3 have ever played at Autzen Stadium.
Kendre Harrison's upcoming game-day visits
Kendre Harrison has revealed his top six programs: North Carolina, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State, Florida State and Oregon.
He visited North Carolina on Saturday and witnessed the Tar Heels’ 34-24 defeat to Pittsburgh. He often visits the school's home games, attending about half since receiving an offer from the school over a year ago.
After concluding his Oregon trip this weekend, Harrison will head to Tennessee on Oct. 19 to watch the Volunteers face off against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Following that, he will be in attendance during Miami's game against Duke on Nov. 2 before traveling to Penn State on Nov. 9 to catch the game against the Washington Huskies.
In two games this season, Harrison has recorded 100 receiving yards and three touchdowns. On3 ranks him as the nation's No. 11 overall talent, the No. 1 tight end in the 2025 class, and the No. 2 recruit in North Carolina.
Kendre Harrison is a top-level recruit in North Carolina, and the only player ranked higher than him is Tennessee commit David Sanders, an offensive tackle from Providence Day.
