Five-star quarterback Dia Bell remains the highest-rated committed player in the Texas Longhorns' 2026 class since June 17. The son of former NBA star Raja Bell, Dia has had a remarkable junior season at American Heritage High School in Florida, earning him the 2024 South Florida Sun Sentinel 4A Offensive Co-Player of the Year title.

Bell shared the accolade on X, tagging coach Steve Sarkisian and co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee.

"Blessed and thankful to be named the 2024 @SunSentinel 4A Offensive Co-Player of the Year as a Jr! 🤘🏽 #HookEm #POY @TexasFootball @CoachSark @milwee4."

Bell completed 154 of 217 passes, throwing for 2,474 yards and 29 touchdowns while adding 552 rushing yards and five scores on the ground. His efforts also earned him the prestigious Gatorade Player of the Year award for Florida.

Despite suffering an ankle injury during a second-round playoff game against Dillard last month, Bell’s athleticism strengthened his reputation as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. He is the No. 1 recruit in Florida in the 2026 class, according to On3 and ESPN.

The Texas quarterback room is already brimming with talent, including Arch Manning, KJ Lacey and Trey Owens. The competition will be strong, but given Bell's dual-threat ability, he might make an early impact when he joins the Longhorns.

Dia Bell recruits WR prospect for Texas' 2026 class

Dia Bell has four-star wide receiver Chris Stewart locked in with him in Texas' 2026 class. However, with just two players committed in the cycle, Bell is working to expand the group, and his latest target is four-star wide receiver Daniel Odom.

Odom narrowed his choices to six schools earlier this month: Texas, Oregon, Miami, Alabama, Florida State and Washington. Bell wasted no time making his pitch by retweeting the post with the message:

"You already know the move fam! 🤘🏽 #HookEm #Horns2026."

Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 178 pounds, Odom is a physically gifted receiver with strong hands and the ability to win contested catches. He is the No. 36 wide receiver in the 2026 class, the No. 24 recruit in California and the No. 219 prospect in the nation.

If Odom commits to Texas, it will be another major recruiting win for Steve Sarkisian after finishing No. 1 in the 2025 recruiting class with 25 commitments.
