Three-star tight end Landen Miree is becoming one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2026 class. The standout from Princeton High School (Ohio) has received more than 20 college offers and Mike Norvell's Florida State entered into his recruitment race this week.

Florida State tight end coach Chris Thomsen extended the scholarship to Miree. The prospect shared the news on X on Monday, tagging his high school coaches and some recruiting analysts.

"After a phone call from @ThomsenChris, I’m blessed to receive an offer from Florida State University!! #GoSeminoles."

The offer from FSU comes on the heels of a promising junior season that saw Miree excel as both a tight end and long snapper. Miree led his school to back-to-back Division 1 conference championships by tallying 56 receptions for 714 yards and 10 touchdowns, which earned first-team all-conference honors. Princeton finished the season with a 10-3 record, with Miree’s role as a key contributor.

Miree is ranked as the No. 22 tight end in the 2026 class and the No. 22 prospect in Ohio (per On3), but he is primed for a potential ratings boost to four-star status. He sits at No. 435 nationally in the recruiting rankings, but his recent surge in production and offers could elevate his profile even more.

Last week, LSU re-offered Landen Miree. He has also received scholarships from schools like Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas A&M, UCF, Maryland, Wisconsin and USF, among others.

Florida State 2026 recruiting class update

Florida State has six committed players in its 2026 class, ranking No. 5 in the nation. The class is headlined by four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel, along with other four-star prospects like athlete Darryon William, safety Darryl Bell and athlete Efrem White. It also features three-star safety Tedarius Hughes and unranked offensive tackle Xavier Payne. Except for Smigiel, all other committed players belong to Florida.

The Seminoles’ 2026 class offers hope for the program following a challenging stretch, including a disappointing 2-10 record last season. The school will face a difficult task in keeping its current commitments intact. This challenge is amplified by recent setbacks in their 2025 recruiting class, where multiple players flipped their commitments to in-state rival Florida Gators.

A strong on-field rebound in the upcoming season will be essential for the Seminoles to solidify their 2026 class. Besides that, maintaining strong relationships with the players and their families will be key in fighting the recruiting battles ahead.
