"Legynds is all about pushing athletes forward on an off the court," Griffin said in the video.
Young continued, "Basketball has been great to us, growing up in Oklahoma, playing in the EYBL, it's only right that we do this together." Griffin then said, "And we're only here to support the next generation."

According to the official website, the Legynds Basketball Club will field teams for 17U EYCL, 16U EYBL, 15U EYBL, 14U Jr. EYBL (two teams), 13U Jr. EYBL (two teams), 12U for boys' basketball and 15U EYCL, 14U Jr. EYBL, 13U Jr. EYBL and 12U for girls' basketball, all set to compete in the Nike EYBL.

According to On3, former American basketball player Kellen McCoy will serve as the team's general manager with Young and Griffin performing various other roles. The club will not hold tryouts and the selection of players for both boys' and girls' teams will be by invitation.
