Charles House, a defensive lineman from Charlotte, North Mecklenburg, is set to announce his college commitment on June 22. House has a series of official visits lined up in the coming weeks, and the Tennessee Volunteers are currently at the forefront of his considerations.

House ranks as the No. 547 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was named to the Queen City 3A/4A All-Conference team in 2023.

House has been in Tennessee several times and their consistent recruitment efforts have earned his trust.

“I have visited Tennessee three times and after the first visit there for the Texas A&M game, I have a great feeling about them,” House told (via On3). “Tennessee has been very consistent, I know a lot of their coaches and they show me love and make me feel wanted," House added.

House is also impressed with the overall environment around the Vols.

“The biggest thing about Tennessee is how they recruit me. They make me feel very important and Tennessee is the team to beat for me. What gives the edge is how I feel on campus. It is a great feeling,” House said.

Charles House’s next visit to Tennessee is scheduled for June 14. The Vols’ 2025 recruiting class is already shaping up to be formidable, with commitments from players like quarterback George MacIntyre, running back Justin Baker, wide receiver Joakim Dodson, and several other promising talents.

Charles House also set to visit Alabama and Georgia

Besides the Vols, Charles House also has recruiting visits scheduled for two SEC powerhouses, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs.

House is scheduled to visit the Crimson Tide on May 31, marking his first trip to the Tuscaloosa campus.

“I haven’t visited Alabama yet, so I just want to get on the campus, see what it is like and be around the people," House said.

House has already had a taste of what the Bulldogs have to offer as he visited the Athens campus in the spring. His experience there left a strong impression.

“I was at Georgia in the spring and they have a high standard," House said." It was great to see them in the spring and they go hard. They go full speed every day, they breathe football and they compete."

He has also developed a good bond with Georgia’s defensive lineman coach, Tray Scott.

"Coach Tray Scott is a great guy who is putting guys in the NFL and he is coming after me hard too. I like what he and Georgia are about.”

Charles House will take an official visit to Georgia on June 7. It will give him another opportunity to deepen his understanding of the program and its culture.

The defensive lineman recorded 22 tackles, including seven tackles for loss, and three sacks in the 2023-24 season.
