It's an ideal time for the 2026 class prospects to receive scholarship offers from college programs, and four-star safety Craig Tutt is a notable name in the 2026 recruitment class. The blue-chip prospect holds over 20 scholarship offers in his recruitment and got a new offer on Wednesday when coach Mike Elko's Texas A&M offered him one.
Tutt shared the news on X, tagging several Aggies coaching staff, including Elko, defensive coordinator Jay Bateman, safety coach Ishmael Aristide and co-defensive coordinator Jordan Peterson,
"I am beyond blessed to receive an offer from Texas A&M!!!! @AggieFootball @CoachMikeElko @CoachBateman @CoachJPeterson @CoachIsh_ @CoachCreasy_OHS @Marcus_B9 @Coach__Watson @CoachEady_T @OHSPatsFootball."
Texas A&M's 2026 class includes two commitments. The Aggies secured their first pledge from three-star Horn cornerback Markel Ford in late June followed by three-star North Forney cornerback Ryan Gilbert in July. Should Tutt commit, he would join Ford as the second safety in the class.
Tutt is the No. 22 safety in the 2026 class, the No. 239 prospect nationally and the No. 4 recruit in Tennessee, per 247Sports. On3 lists him as the No. 42 safety in the class and the No. 21 prospect in the class.
Michigan remains top destination for Craig Tutt
Craig Tutt received offers from multiple elite college programs, like Michigan, Duke, Michigan State, SMU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State, Penn State and Georgia Tech. He also took visits to Clemson and Vanderbilt in June.
Despite the heavy interest, there are no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for Tutt. However, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine indicates that Michigan leads the race for his commitment with a 33.7% chance.
Michigan extended an offer to Tutt on June 12, and he subsequently visited Ann Arbor for the barbecue at the Big House event in July. This visit marked his first trip to Michigan, where he established a strong connection with defensive backs coach Lamar Morgan and left with a positive impression of the program.
"They have great coaches, they have a great program, and I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more about it," Tutt said.
Craig Tutt's other notable contenders include SMU, Vanderbilt and Tennessee, with the On3 prediction model giving the programmes chances of 29.5%, 2.3% and 1.9%, respectively of snapping him up.
