Fox Nation president Lauren Patterson described the excitement about the show's release:
“With football season in full swing, we are thrilled to become the new home of this compelling and inspiring show. It’s an honor to be able to share their story of resilience and character with our viewers and this is the perfect program to launch our FOX Faith vertical on FOX Nation.”
Season 2 of the series will be released in 2025.
What is God. Family. Football. about?
God. Family. Football. is a sports documentary centered around the Christian faith and football. The show made its first appearance on Amazon in 2023 with six episodes in its first season, but Fox Nation will be taking it to its network.
This particular season will feature Louisiana's Evangel Christian Academy and provide a closer look into its football program and day-to-day activities.
Evangel Christian Academy's football team is coached and led by Denny Duron, who is also a pastor. He has plenty of football experience since he was a quarterback at Louisiana Tech and had much success there.
Duron was originally the head coach of the team for six seasons and served as the defensive coordinator for 14 seasons after jump-starting the football program around forty years ago. Duron is a passionate individual who cares heavily about his faith and the well-being of the school and their athletics.
The football program at Evangel Christian Academy has a history of being accomplished with 14 state championship wins and producing a number of NFL talent. But the program endured a decline after COVID. With that, Denny Duran came back to coach the program he built. The team is currently struggling, but its grit and determination can turn things around.
Stay tuned for God. Family. Football., scheduled to stream on Fridays on Fox Nation.
