Henderson, a standout running back, delivered a historic performance this season, rushing for 3,456 yards and scoring 61 touchdowns. It marked his second consecutive season surpassing 3,000 yards and 60 touchdowns.

Henderson shattered the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s career rushing record with 10,766 yards and 193 touchdowns. Ranked as the nation’s No. 9 running back for the class of 2025 by 247Sports, he is also listed as Alabama’s 12th best player and 191st nationally.

Joining him is Smith, a five-star EDGE rusher from Thompson High School. Smith officially signed with Auburn after competing offers from SEC rivals, choosing the Tigers after visits to elite programs like Georgia, USC, and Florida State.

Defensive back Fegans, another Thompson standout, made waves with 72 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five interceptions, and two forced fumbles during his senior season. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound athlete is ranked No. 58 nationally and the No. 3 player in Alabama by 247Sports.

Auburn’s Walker White and Sam Jackson V enter transfer portal

Former four-star recruit Walker White announced on Instagram his decision to transfer to Baylor just weeks after entering the portal. The talented quarterback, who played only one game during his freshman season at Auburn in 2024, was ranked No. 41 overall and the fifth-best quarterback in the 2024 class by 247Sports.

White’s move sets the stage for a reunion with Auburn, as Baylor is scheduled to face the Tigers in Week 1 of the 2025 season.

White isn’t the only quarterback leaving the Plains. Auburn saw significant turnover in its quarterback room, with Payton Thorne, Hank Brown, and Holden Geriner also transferring. This left coach Hugh Freeze to rebuild the position entirely.

Wide receiver Sam Jackson V has also entered the transfer portal, as reported by Rivals’ Caleb Jones.

Following a switch from quarterback to wide receiver, Jackson barely played in the 2024 season, having only appeared in three games with two receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. A moment he can be proud of was the game opener versus Alabama A&M when he caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Brown.
