Earlier this week, five-star quarterback Jared Curtis revealed his top six schools: Auburn, Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Ohio State. He has now scheduled three official visits: the Ducks on June 6-8, the Bulldogs on June 13-15 and the Gamecocks on June 20-22.
The 6-foot-3.5, 225-pound prospect will also attend Alabama’s junior day the weekend of Feb. 1.
The Tennessee native is widely regarded as a top-five prospect nationally. He led Nashville Christian to a state championship in its classification last season. Curtis is ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 class, the No. 4 player overall and the top recruit from Tennessee, according to On3.
Curtis is known for his poise, accuracy and powerful arm. He completed 70% of his passes for 2,830 yards and recorded 40 touchdowns for three interceptions, while also adding 637 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. His junior season performance earned him several prestigious awards, including State Champ MVP, Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year, Tennessee Mr. Football and MaxPreps Player of the Year.
Can Georgia secure Jared Curtis' commitment for second time?
Jared Curtis initially committed to Georgia in March but decommitted in October. In December, he shared with The Tennessean that he plans to make a new commitment this summer. The question now is whether Kirby Smart's program can bring him back into the fold.
Curtis attended Georgia’s 31-17 victory over Tennessee on Nov. 16 and shared his experience with DawgNation.
“I’d say I had a lot of true happiness there,” Curtis said. “Other places you go and you just feel it is not right and you don’t feel you should be there. But I go to Georgia and I get the family atmosphere."
Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class includes four players, but no quarterbacks. The Bulldogs signed four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery in the 2025 class, who is expected to redshirt next season. The school also has Ryan Puglisi from the 2024 class, who will compete with 2022 class signee Gunner Stockton for the starting role next season.
While Georgia hasn’t built significant depth at quarterback, there’s an opportunity for early playing time in Athens. He might be interested in using that opportunity, and recommitment can be on the way as well.
