Zayden Walker, a five-star linebacker from Ellaville, Georgia, announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs in June last year. He chose the program over other top schools such as South Carolina, Miami, Florida State and Alabama.
Walker is now part of the Georgia family and he wasted no time in appreciating his fellow Bulldog, the former five-star edge rusher Mykel Williams, after he declared for the NFL Draft. Walker had a small but crisp reaction to Williams' declaration.
The defenseman took to his Instagram story and shared Williams' recent post about declaring for the draft and thanking the Bulldogs' fanbase for their support.
"J Money," read the caption of Walker's story.
Williams had a terrific 2024 as he was selected to All-SEC second team and recorded five sacks this season. He also tallied 21 total tackles and helped his team to an overall record of 11-3.
He was a five-star prospect coming out of high school and was ranked No. 6 in the country. He was also the second-best defensive lineman and the second-best overall prospect from the state of Georgia, as per On3.
Zayden Walker, on the other hand, is the 29th-best overall recruit in the country and is the best linebacker from the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the fourth-best overall prospect from the state of Georgia.
Zayden Walker spoke highly about the Georgia Bulldogs during his commitment
The five-star linebacker from Schley County High School, Zayden Walker pledged his allegiance to the Georgia Bulldogs on June 5, 2024. He is one of the Bulldogs' 25 signees from the Class of 2025.
Walker spoke about the program during an interview with On3 back in June. He claimed that he made his decision during his official visit to the school from May 31 to June 2.
"It felt like home," the five-star prospect told On3. "I made my decision to commit to Georgia over the weekend when I was on my official visit. I had been close to committing before, but that was the right time. My family was there, I knew that is where I wanted to go and I made my decision."
The Bulldogs' Class of 2025 is ranked No. 3 in the country, as per 247Sports. Walker is one of Georgia's three five-star signees. The others are Elijah Griffin and Isaiah Gibson.
Zayden Walker had a great final season at Schley County. He recorded 77 total tackles while also scoring 14 touchdowns on both sides of the ball, according to MaxPreps.
