Izela Arenas, daughter of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas and elder sister of five-star high school basketball star Alijah Arenas, has been doing well in college. She currently plays for the Louisville Cardinals, and her mother, Laura Govan, could not be more proud of her performance against Colorado on Sunday.

It was a tough 79-71 win on the road for the Cardinals, but it was Izela Arenas who shone. The freshman scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds. She also had two steals and two assists in that game in Boulder, Colorado. This had Laura Govan making her thoughts known in the comments section.

"That’s My Baby ❤️❤️," said Laura Govan.

Laura Govan has been very supportive of her children's basketball careers, with her taking her other children to France just to watch Izela's college debut last November. She only scored three points during that 66-59 loss to UCLA in Paris, but her mom continued cheering for her.

While many know Izela's father, former Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas, her mother, Laura Govan, is more familiar as a reality show star. However, she was also a high school basketball star back in her day.

In six games played, Izela Arenas averages 5.7 points per game for the Louisville Cardinals, along with 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, with 29.4% 3-point shooting and an 83.3% free throw percentage. She plays an average of 15.5 minutes per game.

Izela Arenas' free throws seal win for Louisville vs. Colorado Buffaloes

The Louisville vs. Colorado game was not a very close one, with the Cardinals starting with a 16-0 run to start the fourth quarter. However, the Buffaloes were fighting it out for the victory until the very end, but, with 2:48 left, freshman Tajianna Roberts managed to extend Louisville's lead with a bank shot.

The Buffs tried to mount a comeback, but with just 24.9 seconds left, it was none other than Izela Arenas who sealed the win. She sunk two clutch free throws and made it more difficult for Colorado to come from behind.

The win extends Louisville's record to 5-2 for the season, placing them 10th in the ACC standings. Their next game will be on Wednesday as they take on No. 8-ranked Oklahoma.

The game will be part of the SEC/ACC Challenge. As for Colorado, it will continue its five-game homestand at Boulder on Tuesday, taking on Tennessee Tech.
