NBA legend Gilbert Arenas' elder son, Alijah Arenas, didn't seem very pleased with trash-talking from Deron Rippy Jr, a 4-star recruit from the 2026 class. During Blair Academy's clash against Our Savior Lutheran on Sunday, the youngster could be heard trash-talking his opponents. melo.films1's Instagram handle shared a clip from the game after Rippy's great performance.
"Ah, man, it's about to get ugly, Melo. It's about to get ugly, Melo. Words to my dead, it's about to get ugly," Deron said before dunking an athletic bucket.
"Oh my f---g god," he shouted twice.
"My shit. This is my s--t. This is my s--t," Deron Rippy Jr went on.
He continued to do the same at multiple points during the game. While OSL was about to take a free throw, Deron Rippy started his deed again.
"Melo, yo, now they are worried about me. They (are) worried about me. They weren't worried about me in the beginning of the game. Should have been knew."
After Blair Academy's beautiful set-up to score a basket, Rippy said:
"And one. This is my s--t."
The young gun showed his impeccable shooting skills and then prevented a defender from stopping his teammate, who went on to score another point.
"Yo, yo, yo. Keep killing bro. They are worried about me. I know. I know. See how you are getting yours. I don't need to get mine all the time gang. I already got mine. You get off, then we both eat."
The show went on as Deron Rippy bagged 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Blair Academy thrashed OSL with a scoreline of 81-63. Alijah Arenas couldn't stop himself from sharing his reaction to the trash talk. He took to his Instagram handle and shared melo.films1's post on his story.
"🤮," Alijah Arenas wrote.
The shooting guard from Chatsworth certainly isn't one of those players who love trash talks.
Alijah Arenas breaks Damien Classic Tournament's record
Alijah Arenas has been steamrolling his opponent at this point. He averaged 41.7 points per game in four games at the Damien Classic. In one of those games, Alijah broke the tournament record by scoring 56 points. However, his team lost that game with a scoreline of 93-87.
Alijah isn't getting enough support from his teammates, and Chatsworth has lost three of their last four games after starting the season on a high. On Monday, the 17-year-old scored 43 out of his side's 57 points but ended up on the losing side.
