Alijah Arenas is among the most followed high school athletes on social media. The five-star shooting guard just reached 100,000 followers on Instagram.
On Saturday, Arenas shared a screenshot of his Instagram profile on his Instagram story and captioned it:
"Blessed."
Alijah is the second child and eldest son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas. He is considered a five-star, though his father said he has reclassified from the Class of 2026 to the Class of 2025 to speed up his college recruitment. He was formerly ranked No. 4 overall in the Class of 2026, however, his rank now in the Class of 2025 is unknown.
The Chatsworth guard is active on social media, often sharing his vacation snaps and videos on his Instagram stories and highlights on Instagram. He also posts training sessions with NBA players, the highlights of his siblings, and even a few sweet moments with family, friends and his girlfriend.
Where could Chatsworth shooting guard Alijah Arenas land in college?
Several schools are already lining up to recruit five-star Alijah Arenas, especially now that he has gone up a grade and has jumped from junior to senior. The question is, which schools could recruit the coveted shooting guard?
Because his recruitment schedule has now moved up, Gilbert Arenas announced that his son would be making official visits to several schools during the spring, though he did not reveal any further details. However, with Alijas not yet doing official visits, several schools have come out as clear favorites.
One of these schools is Arizona, Gilbert Arenas' alma mater. On3 has ranked the school second, with a 30.1% chance of landing the five-star. Should Alijas choose Arizona, he would continue his father's legacy with the Wildcats and possibly team up with newly committed fellow NBA son Bryce James, who announced his commitment to the school on Thursday.
The other favorite is UCLA, Alijah Arenas' hometown team, as he is a Los Angeles native. The Bruins have stepped it up since Gilbert announced his son's reclassification. On3 ranks the school first, with a 34.4% chance of recruiting Alijah.
