Gilbert Arenas' son Alijah Arenas and Trevor Ariza's son Tajh Ariza were up against each other along along with some former NBA players at Zach Gonzales and Charlie Torres runs. Players like Tyran Stokes, Danny Green and Trevor Ariza among others, also took part in the scrimmage.
Both Arenas and Ariza are five-star recruits as per ESPN. Arenas is No. 4 on the 2026 ESPN 60 Recruiting Database while Ariza is No. 7 on the list. The video from the scrimmage was posted on YouTube by Swish Cultures.
College hoops fans took to the comments section and talked about the two top 10 recruits' performances. Fans were full of praise for Gilbert Arenas' son as he put up a solid display against Ariza.
"Alijah gone be so cold, doing this as a junior is INSANE!!!," one fan said.
"Gilbert son was busting Trevor Ariza son a***," another fan commented.
"Ngl… how is Alijah not #1 in the class? Bro is clearly on another level he has #1 pick potential," one fan wrote.

How did Alijah Arenas perform in Chatsworth's inaugural game of the season?
While Chatsworth was defeated by Monterey 74-66, Arenas went off on offense at Golden 1 Center on Saturday. He posted a Division IV record with 44 points and shot 53% from the field. It was the second most points scored in tournament history after Tracy Murray scored 64 in 1989.
Arenas talked about the loss in the postgame conference:
"I am very grateful. I am very blessed to be in this situation. I felt good knowing that I did something leaving," Arenas said. "I wish I could have left here with the win. I could have left here knowing I could have done that for my team. And I feel like we really played hard and gave it all."
Arenas has received offers from big programs like UCLA, Fresno State, California, UTEP and Nevada. Tajh Ariza and Alijah Arenas are both in the class of 2026 and will likely compete against each other more in the future.
