"Gonna hit really hard when he flips to Oregon": Fans react to late NFL star's son Chris Henry Jr. praising Ryan Day after Ohio State's Natty win

Chris Henry Jr., a five-star Ohio State commit and son of the late Chris Henry, was among those who celebrated the Buckeyes' national championship win against Notre Dame on Monday. Soon after Ohio State's 34–23 win. Henry Jr. took to social media and praised Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day.

"@ryandaytime best coach in the nation!!" Henry Jr wrote, via On3 Recruits.

However, Henry Jr. is rumored to flip to Oregon. The school has been flipping committed but unsigned high school football stars left and right. This possibility plus him praising the Ohio State coach has got fans talking.

"Lanning fell to his knees seeing this," a fan tweeted.

Meanwhile, some believed Henry Jr. would not flip and stay committed to Ohio State instead.

"He isn’t going anywhere," one tweeted.
"As long as Hartline is at OSU why would an elite WR not serious think about going to OSU?" One tweeted.
"This is pretty ironic because Ryan day failed to win a national championship without NIL instead needed 20m roster. I do think he’s a top 10 coach but not #1," another tweeted.

Ohio State's ninth national title win could attract more uncommitted targets and make a few committed ones stay put. However, with billionaire Nike co-founder Phil Knight boosting Oregon in his wish to see his beloved Ducks win a national championship, even that national title win might not prevent Ohio State from holding on to some of its commitments.

Chris Henry Jr. to visit Oregon on Friday

Despite celebrating Ohio State's big national championship win, Chris Henry Jr. is still expected to drop by Oregon on Friday with a scheduled visit to the school.

He has been committed to the Buckeyes since Jul. 28 and has been very positive about his feelings for the school. However, the five-star wide receiver has kept his options open, with Oregon being one of the most aggressive in trying to flip him. The school has already flipped five-star Na'eem Offord, who also committed to Ohio State but ultimately flipped and signed with Oregon.
