After losing back-to-back games, Gilbert Arenas' eldest son, Alijah Arenas, and his team, the Chatsworth Chancellors, are back in the win column. This is after they defeated Crean Lutheran 66-63. 'Ball is Life' posted his highlights on its Instagram account.
Alijah Arenas finished the game with 33 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Chatsworth Chancellors in a close game against a tough Crean Lutheran team. His performance has gotten several fans talking in the comments section, ranging from praising him to the usual comparisons with Bronny James.
"He better than bronny right now 😮," said one commenter.
"Ppl might not like to hear this but he’s better then cooper and aj," claimed another commenter.
"Fam gotta be tired. Seems like he play everyday," one person pointed out.
Meanwhile, there were also people who commented that Alijah Arenas could play in the NBA right now if he were allowed to. Because of his age, the eldest Arenas son is not yet eligible, but fans would like to think he is ready because of how he plays.
"He’s making a lot of difficult things look extremely easy lol effortlessly definitely league ready," one commenter pointed out.
"That 2026 draft gon be crazier than this one. Y’all don’t even cover Nate Ament and DP enough," said another commenter.
"He could play in the league today. I’d draft him top 10 this year," added one commenter.
With that win over Crean Lutheran, Chatsworth is now 10-3, but it had been a rough couple of weeks for the Chancellors, as their three defeats came over the last two weeks.
It started with that 70-60 loss against Western Christian High School during the Capitol City Classic in Oregon last Dec. 19. Last week came those close defeats against Inglewood (88-84) and Prescott (93-87, OT).
Alijah Arenas set to make official college visits over the spring after reclassifying
Alijah Arenas has now reclassified from the Class of 2026 to the Class of 2025, with his father, Gilbert Arenas, revealing that this is so his recruitment would speed up. He also revealed that because of his accelerated graduation, Alijah would be making several official college visits soon.
The former Washington Wizards star did not specify which schools Alijah will be visiting, though one of the contenders to recruit the high school guard is Arizona, Gilbert's alma mater. Other favorites are USC and UCLA, though Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and Kentucky are also trying to recruit him.
