Being the son of LeBron James, Bryce James has had many "Uncles" to help him out, especially his dad's NBA friends and teammates.
On Friday, the NBA Future Starts Now Instagram page released an interview with the youngest James son and he sounded off on his various relationships with NBA players.
Bryce James was asked about what his relationships with NBA players were, and the three-star shooting guard noted that he was particularly close with "uncles" Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade.
"Honestly, Chris Paul, that's basically my uncle. D-Wade. You know, he and my dad were really close and he had a really good connection with me," Bryce James said.
He also opened up regarding how these "uncles" helped him improve his game, given that both of them are considered legends already, even though Chris Paul is still very much active and playing for the San Antonio Spurs.
"They helped me just playin', they taught me how to play the right way. Chris Paul, with just the IQ that he had, especially with he and my dad being at the league for so long, you know, he just helped me elevate my game, and just the evolution," added Bryce James.
While LeBron James and CP3 did not officially team up in the NBA aside from All-Star Games, the two have spent a lot of time together with USA Basketball in various Olympics. As for Dwyane Wade, his friendship with LeBron is well known and they even won two NBA titles together.
Bryce James reveals his favorite NBA players not named LeBron James
During that very same interview, Bryce James was also asked who his favorite NBA players were. Because of who his father is, he had to exclude LeBron.
"I'll probably go with either Paul George or KD," he said. "I have to name KD. You know, he's one of the greatest players to do it, man. For me personally, KD is one of the greatest scorers."
No. 1 ranked BYU commit AJ Dybantsa also named Kevin Durant as his favorite player, while Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony, previously named Paul George his favorite player.
Bryce was also asked to name an NBA player he thought he could beat one-on-one, and he said he believed he could beat Chris Paul. He then named Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards as the "Next Up" in the league, given his performance against the Denver Nuggets during the playoffs last year.
