Oregon Ducks football program continues to dominate the recruiting landscape under coach Dan Lanning. Five-star cornerback Na'eem Offord, who flipped his commitment from Ohio State to Oregon, reacted to the team's latest move.

This move is an offer extended to 2026 wide receiver Kentrell Davis of Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama.

Offord’s Instagram Story captured his excitement, stating:

Davis, a 6-foot-3, 182-pound standout, who plays both wide receiver and free safety, has quickly gained attention for his athleticism and versatility. As part of the 2026 class, Davis could potentially join an already star-studded group that has elevated Oregon to the No. 1 spot nationally, according to On3.

The class is headlined by five-star tight end Kendre Harrison, who also intends to play basketball under coach Dana Altman.

Oregon’s other 2026 commitments include four-star quarterback Jonas Williams, running back Tradarian Bell and offensive tackle Kodi Greene. Defensive linemen Tony Cumberland, Bott Mulitalo and Tomuhini Topui, linebacker Tristan Phillips and three-star defensive players Dutch Horisk and Viliami Moala are also part of the group.

In addition to high school recruiting, the Ducks have been active in the transfer portal. Recent additions include former USC offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon and defensive lineman Bear Alexander, previously with Georgia.

Oregon’s 2025 transfer class ranks fifth nationally, complementing a high school recruiting class ranked No. 4 by 247Sports. The Ducks’ 2025 season kicks off at home on August 30 against Montana State, an FCS powerhouse that reached the championship game last year.

Na’eem Offord once reflected on flipping commitment to Oregon

Parker High School’s five-star defensive back Na’eem Offord made headlines by flipping his commitment from Ohio State to Oregon. Previously pledged to the Buckeyes since February, Offord chose the Ducks. Auburn was a strong contender in the final days, but his ultimate decision came down to Oregon and Ohio State.

“You have to know what fits you outside of football, and I feel like Oregon fits me,” Offord said. “It’s my decision at the end of the day. Everyone has their own opinions. I really don’t worry about how they feel because it’s my future. I control my future.”

Ranked as the nation’s No. 2 cornerback and No. 12 overall prospect by 247Sports, Offord announced his choice during a signing event at Parker. After initially picking up an Auburn hat, he swapped it for an Oregon hat, finalizing his decision hours earlier at 10 a.m.

Offord’s versatility has been evident this season, recording 43 tackles, four interceptions and three forced turnovers, including a fumble recovery touchdown. On offense, he added 525 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 70 carries.
