Christian Collins has taken the high school basketball world by storm, going from an unranked recruit six months ago to being ranked No. 3 in the Class of 2026, per 247Sports. Bleacher Report Hoops highlighted the young star’s meteoric rise in an Instagram post on Friday.

“2026 5-star Christian Collins was unranked just 6 months ago, and now he's a top 3 player in the country. 🔥,” Bleacher Report Hoops captioned.

Another echoed the same sentiment and predicted his ascent to the top.

“He will be competing for the top spot when it’s all said and done. I think it’s between McCoy, Stokes, Collins, Holt, and Ariza for the top overall spot,” one fan commented.

Collins’ rapid rise has been nothing short of impressive.

“Quite an emergence,” a fan commented.

“The work is real!!!!” Simplis commented.

Collins holds 14 college offers, with USC leading the race for his commitment, according to On3, with a 60.3% chance. Louisville is also heavily interested in the rising star, while UCLA and Stanford are keeping close tabs on him.

Christian Collins leads the Braves with outstanding performances

Christian Collins was the biggest mover in the latest 247Sports rankings. Ranked No. 3, Collins trails only Notre Dame Knights (California) standout Tyran Stokes, who holds the top spot, and his teammate Brandon McCoy.

The five-star forward stepped into the spotlight with 19 points and six rebounds against Orange Lutheran (California) on Wednesday, as he justified his rise in the rankings.

Collins also stood out on Jan. 3 in a dominant win over the O’Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ), recording a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead his team to a 58-42 victory. The Braves, 21-3 overall, are on a three-game winning streak and will take on Santa Margarita on Monday.
