Four-star prospect Donovan Murph will announce his commitment on Jan. 2 from the Under Armor All-American Game. The wide receiver's decision has been closely anticipated by schools, as Colorado has made a late push in his recruitment.

Speaking to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, Murph shared insights into Deion Sanders’ recruitment pitch:

"He's been telling me he's not recruiting a South Carolina kid for nothing. They're grabbing high school kids that can come in and play, and that sticks out to me."

Murph posted 96 catches for 1,328 yards and 12 touchdowns this year. Reclassifying to the 2026 class meant he skipped his senior year but still managed to boost his status as a premier wide receiver. He will choose between Colorado, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Clemson.

“I’ve been to those schools and I’ve been able to build a connection with the coaches and staff there,” Murph told On3's Chad Simmons. “I’ve been able to see what they’re doing.. I see a future at those schools and they’ve been able to build a relationship with me. I really feel like home at a lot of those places.”

South Carolina remains the favorite to land the in-state standout and boasts a 97.3% chance of securing his commitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Their pitch centers on keeping homegrown talent in-state and playing a pivotal role in head coach Shane Beamer’s growing offensive system.

However, Murph might be thinking about playing with five-star quarterback Julian Lewis and four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson in Colorado. Sanders' reputation for building impact programs could also influence him, as his game-ready skill set aligns with Colorado's vision for young playmakers.

Donovan Murph shares excitement about All-American Game

Donovan Murph is in Orlando this week for the Under Armour All-American Game, set to take place at Spec Martin Stadium on Jan. 2. At the hotel check-in on Sunday, Murph spoke with Chad Simmons of On3 about his excitement for the event:

“It’s a bitter-sweet moment. I grew up watching the All-American Game. When I finally got the call that I was going to be in the game and I was going to be able to commit at the game, it was a dream come true."

Donovan Murph will represent Team Unstoppable alongside cornerback Na’eem Offord, wide receiver Naeem Burroughs, offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell and edge rusher Zion Elee, among others. They will compete against Team Icon.
