What lies ahead for Isiah Harwell and Katrelle Harmon?
Isiah Harwell signed with the Houston Cougars on November 14 after receiving offers from Texas, California, Alabama and Gonzaga, among others. The 6-foot-5 guard was the highest-rated recruit for the Cougars before Chris Cenac’s signing.
On November 27, Isiah led Wasatch's win against Veritas Academy with 24 points and shooting 100% from the 3-point line on five attempts.
Houston coach, Kelvin Sampson, talked about Harwell's growth in a statement released by the university when the guard signed with the Cougars on Nov. 14
"From the first time we saw Isiah play, we liked the maturity level at which he played. I saw him for the first time when he was 15 and about to play at the tournament in Rock Hill, S.C... At that time, he was pretty good at everything. When we saw him the next summer, it was like 'Woah, he has taken an amazing leap into one of the best wing guards in the country'," Sampson said.
Isiah Harwell is 19th in the 2025 ESPN ranking. He ranks fourth among shooting guards on ESPN's list.
On the other hand, Harmon, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, ranks 49th on ESPN's 2026 Top 60 and 10th among the shooting guards. He has received offers from Auburn, Illinois, USC, Texas A&M, Creighton, Oregon, Texas, LSU, LMU and Mississippi State, among others, but has not decided yet.
