The Eagles will play hosts to the Panthers on Friday and will look to hand them their first loss of the season. Both teams are ranked in the top five in Texas, according to Sports Illustrated's Top 25 list.

The Panthers' biggest win of the season came against the Waxahachie Indians on Sept. 27. They dismantled the Indians 63-14 to improve to 4-0. According to MaxPreps, Duncanville is currently ranked No. 4 nationally behind Mater Dei, St. John Bosco and Milton.

Duncanville's next game is their biggest and toughest test of the season so far. The DeSoto Eagles are ranked No. 4 in the state as per SI's list and ranked No. 17 nationally.
