Kiyan Anthony is not the only big star playing for Long Island Lutheran, as fellow four-star prospect Kayden Mingo is also making waves. The No. 42 overall recruit dropped by "The Breakfast Club" on Friday and talked about his basketball journey and his relationships with Kiyan and his father, NBA legend Carmelo Anthony.

The conversation about the father-son duo was prompted by a question from co-host Jess Hilarious, who asked him if he was inspired by any NBA player growing up, current or retired. He immediately name-dropped Carmelo.

"I was blessed enough to have Melo in my circle and play with Kiyan since young," Mingo said (4:11). "So I would say he's taught me a lot. He took me under his shoulder."

Carmelo Anthony has consistently watched Kiyan Anthony's games. After transferring to Long Island Lutheran last year, his teammates have gotten to know him better.

The Long Island Lutheran guards have shown that they could play well together, as they had dominant performances during the Aces Hustle & Heart Classic in New York City in October. They scored 26 points each and were named the co-MVPs of the game. While Kayden Mingo is ranked No. 43 overall by 247Sports, Kiyan is No. 34.

Kayden Mingo made big announcement during his appearance on 'The Breakfast Club'

The big news during Mingo's guesting at "The Breakfast Club" was his announcement that he is committing to Mike Rhoades and the Penn State Nittany Lions. This is a historic decision as Mingo is the highest-rated prospect that Penn State has ever recruited in the modern recruiting era.

He chose Penn State over Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Xavier. His final two were Penn State and Wake Forest.

He is only the third prospect to commit to Penn State from the Class of 2025, with the other two being four-star forward Mason Blackwood and three-star center Justin Houser.

Kayden Mingo told "The Breakfast Club" co-host Charlamagne Tha God that he felt that Penn State was the best fit as it would provide the best opportunity and best style of play for him.
