"I can do it all in the state that I'm in": 5-star prospect Nate Ament on how he wants to win the State Championship with his day one teammates

Nate Ament is the No. 4 recruit of the Class of 2025 and plays for Highland School, Monterey, Virginia. In a YouTube video posted by "Swish Cultures," Ament talked about his mentality and bringing attention to wherever he went with his game.

The interviewer commended Ament's loyalty to his program, claiming that there must have been people trying to take him away from the program. However, Ament stated that he wanted to win it all in Virginia:

"I mean that that's that's where I'm from. I'm from Virginia and I don't want to leave Virginia, I feel like I can do it all in the state that I'm in." (11:02

He was also full of praise for his teammates:

"I want to just give a huge shout out to my teammates right now, they're my guys," said Ament. It wasn't easy for them, I know, me coming to their school but, they just been the best teammates ever, honestly. They've been so receptive and they compete with me every day in practice."

In his first season for Highland School, Ament averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 3.7 assists per game. He was also a part of the Under Armour Elite 24 camp and led his team with 16 points and 3 rebounds, shooting 42.7% from beyond the arc.

The 6-foot-9 small forward also signed a deal with Shaquille O'Neal and Reebok on Oct. 17 making him the fourth-highest NIL-valued player in high school basketball. With a $1.3 million NIL value (according to On3), Ament sits at par with LeBron James' son Bryce James and three below the No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Peterson.


Which college has the highest chance of recruiting Nate Ament?

According to 247Sports, Nate Ament has received 29 offers from top programs across the nation including Texas, Connecticut, Creighton, Duke and more. The five-star small forward ranks at the first spot in Virginia and the second spot in his position.

According to On3's recruiting prediction machine, Tennessee has the highest chance of recruiting Ament with a 23% prediction. However, they are closely followed by Louisville with 20.2%, Kansas State with 17.3% and Texas with a 14.4% chance of recruiting Ament.
