Son of the legendary NBA player Carmelo Anthony, Kiyan Anthony is one of the most talented players in the Class of 2024. He has stepped up his game this summer in the EYBL and playing for Team Melo. Anthony recently appeared on a YouTube video by League Ready on November 13, where he talked about his progress over the summer.

"I will just say stepping into a bigger role especially in A&U, just being more of a leader. I feel like in the past there was somebody else on my team where I could look to or someone where they had the ball at their hand I was just kind of secondary," said Kiyan Anthony.
"But now going into 17th summer, I feel like it was all based around me I was the deciding factor whether we won whether lost, so I have stepped into the leadership role and I feel like God really told me to be a leader, going from really good to really dominant." (0:43-1:42)

According to On3, Anthony ranks at the 35th spot nationally, ninth spot in the shooting guard position, and the first spot in New York. While Anthony said that he would decide in the first week of November, there is no news about his commitment yet.

However, his father Carmelo Anthony gave us an insight when he appeared on Jimmy Fallon's "The Tonight Show," saying that his son was down to two colleges:

"He's deciding which college he wants to attend. It's down to two. It's down to Syracuse and USC. So, we'll see. That was a fine line that I couldn't cross, due to my ties – I got to let him do his thing. But it's been a fun process, man, just seeing him go through it," said Carmelo Anthony.

Where could we see Kiyan Anthony next season?

The Long Island Lutheran player will enter his senior year this season. He is coming off an excellent summer, averaging 19.6 ppg and 4.6 rpg in the Nike EYBL.

Anthony said that he liked his Syracuse visit best, considering his father's legacy in the program. On3's prediction machine suggests that they have a 97.3% prediction of recruiting Anthony.

The 6-foot-5 guard also said that USC is not out of the picture yet. However, the prediction machine states that they have just a 2.7% chance of getting Anthony's commitment.

Do you think we will see Kiyan Anthony play for the Syracuse Orange?
