Kiyan Anthony, son of basketball great Carmelo Anthony, recently shared a memory from his early teen years when he briefly stepped into the world of fashion.
Kiyan made an appearance on Angel Reese's podcast, "Unapologetically Angel," on Thursday. He opened up about multiple aspects of his life, from his family to his gameplay and what he wants to be known for.
He also recounted his experience walking the runway for Sean John, the clothing brand founded by music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
When Reese asked if he would ever walk in a fashion show, Anthony replied:
“I have walked in a show before, uh, Sean John. I just walked up the alley. I think I was like 13, I don't know what I was doing. They just told me to walk down and walk back. I did it twice.”
Sean 'Diddy' Combs founded Sean John in 1998. The music icon's clothing brand debuted with a men's sportswear collection and then extended into tailored suits, dress shirts, fragrances and footwear.
This paved the way for Combs to win the 2004 Men's Wear Designer of the Year award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
Kiyan Anthony is just weeks away from announcing his commitment
A 6-foot-5 combo guard from Long Island Lutheran, Kiyan Anthony is a highly sought-after prospect, with over 21 colleges lining up to get him.
Although he hasn't yet revealed where he will be heading for his college career, he has hinted at the top three colleges he is considering -- Auburn, USC and Syracuse. On Reese's podcast, the top-ranked recruit in New York said he would finalize his decision in two weeks.
That said, Syracuse reportedly leads the race to sign the talented shooting guard. His dad, Carmelo Anthony, played for the Orangemen before heading to the NBA with the Denver Nuggets.
Chris Brickley, Anthony's trainer since sixth grade, also wants him to go to Syracuse. On the “Pardon My Take” podcast last week, he expressed his wish to see the young player in the Syracuse jersey just like his father.
