NBA legend Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, will begin his collegiate career next year after he made his commitment to his father's alma mater Syracuse on Nov. 15. Anthony is regarded as the No. 34 player nationally, No. 10 in shooting guard position and the best player in New York.

Being the son of the 10-time NBA All-Star is not an easy task. Anthony opened up about handling pressure with "The Program NYC" and they took to Instagram to share the video on Thursday:

"We went to embrace it, at first it was a lot going out there not really knowing whether I was gonna perform or not, having a lot of eyes on me just because of my name. So, as I got older, I started to embrace it (pressure) everywhere I go, every park, every AAU tournament, there's gonna be a lot of eyes on me," Anthony said.

Kiyan Anthony also talked about putting in work with his dad and trainer:

"So just started to take it all in and try to use what I've been working on in the gym when it was just me and my dad or me and my trainer alone."
"Just tried to put it to work when all the eyes were on me, so I feel like that was really a main factor whether I played good or played bad, didn't really matter because I already know all the work I was putting in off the court."

Kiyan Anthony had offers from top programs, including Florida State, USC, Providence, Michigan and Ohio State. However, he chose Syracuse after an official visit in late October. Coach Adrian Autry and some of his staff also made an in-home visit with Anthony, according to "Inside the Loud House," while all the staff attended some of his games for the Long Island Lutheran High School.

Kiyan Anthony on why he chose Syracuse

Anthony talked about his decision with 247Sports in November, saying that the commitment had nothing to do with his father:

"They really showed me they were recruiting me for who I was and that it had nothing to do with my Dad," Anthony said.
"I could see the vision with Sadiq (White) going over there and being one of the most athletic people in the class, an overseas guard coming, and the potential of seniors like JJ Starling and Chris Bell coming back."

Kiyan Anthony will join Sadiq White Jr., Luke Fennell and Aaron Womack at the Orange next season.
