“I hate Jayson Tatum”: Hoops fans react as 4-star recruit Gabby Minus calls Celtics star 'handsome'

The four-star duo of Danielle Osho and Gabby Minus is one of the best one-two punches in girls' high school basketball. The two Hebron Christian Academy (Georgia) basketball standouts spoke with Overtime Select and played a game of word association regarding several NBA teams.

While Miami commit Danielle Osho had more straight answers than Gabby Minus, it was the 6-foot-1 small forward's answer regarding what she associated Boston Celtics with that caught fans' attention. This was mainly because she associated the team with Jayson Tatum, whom she called "handsome," and this has fans divided.

"I hate Jayson Tatum," replied one commenter.

"Lmfao Tatum got enough compliments for his looks by females, I ain't giving him props till he doesn't fade or choke in a series or get carried by Jalen Brown in a Meaningful Playoff Series... & I'm a full Heat Fan," one commenter said.

"Idk why ppl hate on Tatum fr, he’s a top 5 player in the league, got a chip too 🤷🏾‍♂️," another person pointed out.

Meanwhile, other commenters were just talking about the photo that Overtime posted of Jayson Tatum instead of what Gabby Minus said.

"Why tf would he agree to this pose 😂," said another person.

"Looks like an R&B album cover from the 90’s," another commenter pointed out.

"This picture is the first time I’ve seen just how much his son looks like him. I always assumed he looked just like his mom but he looks like his son on this pictures," another person said.

There were also other funny moments in the Overtime video, with Osho associating the various teams with their respective cities or what that team has done.

For instance, the Celtics being the reigning NBA champions or the Lakers winning their Play-In games. Meanwhile, Minus just blurted out the first thing that came to her mind.

Meanwhile, the Hebron Christian Academy Lions are proving to be one of the best girls basketball teams in the country with a solid 15-1 record. This includes a 55-50 win over powerhouse IMG Academy last Nov. 26, as well as a 60-53 win over Link Academy on Jan. 3, opening 2025 with a big win.

The Lions will take on the Stephens County Indians on the road for their next game and it will happen on Thursday. After that will be Prince Avenue Christian on Jan. 17.
