In a shocking turn of events, Niko Bundalo made his commitment official to the Washington Huskies and coach Danny Sprinkle. The No. 28 prospect in the Class of 2025 snubbed Ohio State, Michigan State and North Carolina.
ESPN's Paul Biancardi took to X to post about the Uniontown, Ohio, native's commitment:
Bundalo also had a message for the Huskies fans (via 247Sports):
"I hope they are ready for a show. That's my message to Washington fans. It has definitely been a long process and a crazy ride to get to this point. But I think, for me, I see things very clearly now, and I'm very certain and very comfortable in the decision that I've made."
Bundalo became Sprinkle's third commitment after they signed four-star recruits No. 101-ranked shooting guard Courtland Muldrew from Oak Hill Academy on Oct. 10 and No. 50 point guard JJ Mandaquit from Utah Prep on Nov. 12.
Niko Bundalo posted about his final four colleges on Oct. 10, and according to On3's prediction machine, the Huskies had less than a 1% chance of landing the 6-foot-10 power forward.
While talking to 247Sports, Bundalo commended Sprinkle and talked about Huskies star Great Osobor:
"I just think the coaching staff and the style of play fit," Bundalo told 247Sports. "For Coach Sprinkle, the four-man plays, the most minutes, and he has one of the highest usage rates for his fours of any coach in the NCAA right now.
"I just think it's a great opportunity for me to go in there where Great Osobor is on his way out the door. He's a great player, but him leaving and me getting a chance at that spot off the rip is a great opportunity for my development."
