Caleb Holt, one of the top prospects in the 2026 high school basketball class, is getting praise after outshining Georgia commit and 2025 four-star prospect Jacob Wilkins.
Fans lauded Holt following his performance against Combine Academy last week. However, there was not a lot of love for Holt’s teammate Wilkins, who was outshined by the guard.
Holt dropped 30 points, eight rebounds, and four assists to lead Grayson to a 79-74 win. Wilkins had eight points, seven rebounds and three steals in the game.
Following the contest, the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2026 class per ESPN received plaudits from fans on social media. However, there wasn't much praise for for Wilkins, with one fan doubting his ability.

“I’m not impressed with Wilkins. Every highlight I see is all dunking. I want to see the skill because on the next level that’s not going down,” the user said.
Caleb Holt’s potential
Holt is seen currently as one of the best prospects in his class. The Huntsville, Alabama native first attended Buckhorn High School before transferring to Grayson High School for his final two years.
During his time at Buckhorn, Holt averaged 20 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists in his sophomore season and was named Mr. Basketball.
Holt was also named the Gatorade and MaxPreps Alabama Player of the Year and the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Class 6A Player of the Year for the second straight season.
He was part of a USA team that played at the 2024 FIBA U-17 World Cup, averaging 11.1 games, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 per game across 11 games. The teenager also took part in the Adidas Euro Camp where he averaged 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in three games.
Holt helped the 2023 US Men's U16 National Team win gold at the 2023 FIBA Men's U16 Americas Championship in Merida, Mexico. He was tied second on the team in steals with 2.5 SPG and also one of four USA players to record a double-double at the event.
