Gilbert Arenas' son, Alijah Arenas, and Trevor Ariza's son, Tajh Ariza, are two of the top prospects in the Class of 2026. Arenas Jr. appeared on Swish Culture's "The Youngins Sports Podcast" on Monday, Dec. 2. The 6-foot-5 teenage sensation opened up about his relationship with Tajh Ariza during the conversation.
Host Jordan Richard began the show by asking Alijah about the upcoming games. The youngster shared his feelings and insights about his team's preparations.
"I'm really excited for the game. My team has really been preparing ourselves to play against Tajh's Westchester," Alijah said. (0:40)
"For me personally, I'm really excited. I'm always competing with Tajh. I'm always playing with Tajh, we're always like, we always go back and forth, especially at USA, that's where everybody kind of like, comes together," he added. (0:48)

Alijah and Richard talked about the media day, playing in an adult league in seventh grade, and his decision to join Chatsworth. They went on to discuss his body language, his relationship with James Harden and Kevin Durant's run.
Richard praised Alijah Arenas for sticking to one school and not giving up on his teammates.

Arenas and Ariza went head-to-head against each other this season on Nov. 20, 2024. The former came on top as Chatsworth won a close thriller with a scoreline of 58-56.
Westchester had their moment when they overcame a deficit of 8 points to lead the tie by 1 point. However, Alijah spoiled the party for his opponents, scoring a bucket from the charity strike.
While Alijah Arenas recorded 25 points, Tajh Ariza was also crucial for his team, bagging 14. The high-intensity game was attended by Alijah's father and NBA legend Gilbert Arenas. The Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard James Harden was also in attendance.
Both Arenas and Ariza have multiple offers on the table. They might take some more time to visit and evaluate the options before making a final call.
