Four-star linebacker Jaiden Braker shut down his recruitment and will sign with LSU's 2025 class next week. The standout from South Gwinnett High School in Georgia will put pen to paper during the early signing period on Dec. 4.
“I’m at home and 110% committed.” Braker told SI.
Braker initially committed to South Carolina on July 6, shortly after an official visit to Columbia on June 7. However, LSU entered the picture with an offer on July 26, and just four days later, he flipped his commitment to the Tigers.
Braker has received offers from Kentucky, Troy, Bowling Green, Utah, California, Rutgers, BYU, NC State, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, SMU and Indiana. Despite late pushes from Georgia and Alabama, he decided to stay loyal to Brian Kelly's program, which will sign a pair of top-10 linebackers next week.
Braker made an official visit to LSU in October and recapped his experience to Geaux247, saying:
"We got to hang out and eat dinner with Coach (Blake) Baker, a couple of other guys on staff, and Coach Baker's wife. The next day we got to see how they run things in the facility and on campus. I also got to talk with Coach (Brian) Kelly. That was pretty much it, along with getting the uniform on and taking pictures."
LSU has 25 players committed in its 2025 class, ranking No. 6 in the nation and No. 5 in the Southeastern Conference.
This cycle was hit with a big blow when five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood flipped his commitment to Michigan. Five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore was also once committed to this program but reopened his recruitment in May and committed to Oregon on Nov. 9.
Jaiden Braker's potential in LSU
Jaiden Braker is one of three linebacker commitments for LSU in the 2025 Class. He joins Charles Ross and Keylan Moses in the room.
Braker has recorded 59 tackles (37 solo and 22 assists) including 7.5 tackles for loss, one quarterback hurry and one pass defensed in 10 games this season. In his junior year in 2023, he recorded 48 tackles, including four tackles for loss.
Braker is the No. 118 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 8 linebacker in the 2025 cycle and the No. 15 player in Georgia, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
