Macaria Spears, daughter of Marcus Spears and Aiysha Spears, is making her mark in the sport of volleyball. She proved her abilities and built her identity as a skilled outside hitter. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, Macaria Spears has been an outstanding player for Prestonwood Christian Academy, leading her team to multiple TAPPS 6A state championships.

In her 2024 high school season, Spears recorded 649 kills with a .428 hitting percentage, establishing herself as one of the top offensive players in high school volleyball. Defensively, she contributed 276 digs and 89 blocks, showcasing her versatility and ability to impact every phase of the game. She also added 44 service aces, making her an all-around threat on the court.

“People would say, ‘Oh, you’re Marcus Spears’ daughter.’ And I’d say, ‘No, I’m Macaria Spears. I have a name."

“Picking volleyball made it easier to separate myself.”

“I know this is where I want to be,” she said.

Spears has her sights set on winning a college national championship and representing the country in the Olympics, saying in interview with Togethxr:
