Julian Lewis, the Colorado Buffaloes' star signee from the Class of 2025, is one of the most popular high school athletes. The Carrollton High School's starting quarterback was once committed to the USC Trojans but flipped his commitment to the Buffs on Nov. 21.
Lewis was a major part of the Carrollton Trojans' success this year. However, his father, T.C. Lewis, is proud of his son's academic achievement despite all the attention surrounding his game. He shared a tweet praising his son for his achievements in high school on Monday.
Lewis acknowledged his father and replied to his tweet.
"You taught me choose hard over easy and to run towards competition not away from it. I’m ok with being “The Enigma” #KeepWorking," Lewis tweeted.
Lewis finished his high school football career with 11,010 yards, 144 touchdowns and 21 interceptions while completing 69.1% of his pass attempts. He ended with a quarterback rating of 134.1, leading the Trojans to an overall record of 39-4.
Deion Sanders calls Julian Lewis a leader
Julian Lewis signed with the Colorado Buffaloes on Dec. 4 and is the program's best signee from the Class of 2025.
Colorado coach Deion Sanders spoke about his star signing in December.
"He’s everything that we desire in a quarterback," Sanders told the media. "He’s smart, he could throw, make, every throw. He has pocket awareness, pocket presence. He is a darn leader, but most of all, he’s a winner."
Lewis is one of Colorado's 12 enrollees from the Class of 2025. His commitment helped Colorado rise up in the 247Sports' overall team rankings. The Buffs' class finished as the 24th-ranked class.
Julian Lewis is ranked No. 115 overall and is the ninth-best quarterback in the Class of 2025. He is also the 14th-best overall recruit from Georgia.
