No. 2 ranked Class of 2025 prospect Sienna Betts, the younger sister of UCLA center Lauren Betts, signed with UCLA last Nov. 15. The power forward will be teaming up with her sister, and they are expected to form a powerful frontline together at UCLA.
During her Dec. 13 interview with SportsCenter’s MJ Acosta-Ruiz, Lauren opened up about the possibility of playing with her sister now that she has officially signed with the Bruins.
"Oh, it's going to be amazing," Lauren told the Acosta-Ruiz, adding, "I'm looking forward to it, like I'm seriously just counting down the days. We talk about it all the time. I was actually just on FaceTime with her today and I was just like I can't believe that we're going to be experiencing this together next year." (3:49-4:01)
She was also asked how she would balance the big sister and teammate dynamic once Sienna arrives at UCLA, and she admitted that she had talked about this topic before.
"I've talked about that actually. I think it's going to be really interesting for sure," Lauren answered, adding, "We might have you know a little couple, like you know, fights here and there but like, we're sisters in the day you know we're going to love each other no matter what." (4:20-4:33)
Sienna is a 6-4 power forward for Grandview High School in Colorado. She has shown that she can make shots and can bury three-point shots, as well as execute moves from the low block. Defensively, the younger Betts is described as an excellent rebounder who can also block shots.
