Syracuse's four-star commit Kiyan Anthony, and Carmelo Anthony's son, was joined by other prospects at the 2024 NBPA Top 100 Camp. In a "Betweenxthelines" YouTube video on Friday, AJ Dybantsa and Tyran Stokes interviewed the players at the camp. Dybantsa, the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2025, was seen chatting with Anthony about his style.
The small forward asked Anthony about his earrings, joking they weren't as shiny as his own. The guard said:
"Now they cool like these a calm earrings. I got from a little jewelry store around the corner, feel me? Calm $15 dollars. These some fugazi. But it's cool though, I got my real ones at the crib, I just you didn't want to bring out. You feel me my real earrings, you feel me and these little C like $5 over Claire's." (0:20 - 0:41)
He also talked about his socks:
"Regular socks, regular socks, these just some regular socks. I order them off of eBay, forces but look look supreme supreme you feel me, that's what I'm saying. That's it though, I'm stepping casual because you feel me we at a camp." (1:07 - 1:22)
Anthony has continued to perform at an elite level on the court. Earlier this year, representing his father's AAU team, Team Melo, in the EYBL, he averaged 19.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Kiyan Anthony became Syracuse's fourth commitment in the Class of 2025. Adrian Autry, the program's coach, also secured commitments from four-star power forward Sadiq White from IMG Academy (Charlotte, NC) on May 29.
After White, the Orange received commitments from three-star recruits, small forward Aaron Womack from Dominican (Milwaukee, WI) and point guard Luke Fennell from NBA Global Academy (Melbourne, VIC).
Kiyan Anthony compared his fashion choices with Carmelo Anthony
In a YouTube video uploaded by Overtime in October, Kiyan Anthony claimed that his "drip game" is better than his father's:
"When I'm going shopping, I'm just looking for stuff that I could see myself in, like baggy jeans, baggy cargos, baggy shirts. I just try to grab pieces and then put it together." (1:20 - 1:39)
While picking out outfits, a staff member said that Anthony might need to style his father as well, to which the 6-foot-5 shooting guard replied:
"Bro, I got better drip than him already." (1:39 - 1:55)
Kiyan Anthony will now help Syracuse and Adrian Autry next season. The team stands 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the ongoing campaign.
