Four-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo has established himself as one of the top up-and-coming prospects in the 2026 class. In his junior season at Lake Ridge High School in Texas, he set high expectations for himself, particularly in mastering both run and pass blocking.
"I am undeniably one of the best tackles if not THE best tackle in my class," Ojo posted on X.
This confidence is backed up by Ojo's highlight tapes, which show him effortlessly moving varsity defenders. His ability to neutralize defensive ends is one of his most impressive attributes. In many cases, his opponents seem to accept defeat before even reaching the quarterback.
Earlier this month, the 6-foot-7 and 274-pound prospect reiterated his self-assurance, posting on X:
"I told y’all before the season I’m one of them ones and the film don’t lie if you haven’t been watching so far u better be now."
Felix Ojo has risen through the national rankings, from No. 173 to No. 59 overall, according to 247 Sports. He is also rated as the No. 8 offensive tackle and No. 7 overall prospect in Texas for the 2026 class.
Felix Ojo's recruitment update
Felix Ojo has proved himself to be a promising offensive tackle prospect who will have schools fighting for his services. He has received over 30 offers from elite programs like Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, SMU, Oregon, Baylor, Texas, USC and Ohio State, among others.
SMU is leading the race for Ojo’s commitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives the program a 24.9% chance of landing the elite offensive tackle.
SMU is hoping to build its 2026 class around star prospects like Ojo, as three-star cornerback Victor Lincoln remains the only player committed to the Mustangs so far.
SMU is also in the mix for other top offensive line talent, including Texas native Cortavious Tisaby, who has a 33% chance of committing, and Dalton DeBoer, who has a 47% chance of joining the program.
However, SMU will face stiff competition for Felix Ojo’s services from Oklahoma (21.8%), Texas (12.7%) and Alabama (10.5%).
