Five-star shooting guard Alijah Arenas has made waves after renowned basketball agent Rich Paul and LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue watched him play on Friday. Alijah's mother, Laura Govan, reacted to their presence on Instagram.
On Friday, she shared an Instagram story featuring Paul and Lue and captioned it:
"Look at who came to see my baby play @alijah0arenas. If you know then you know!"
After the game, the son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas took photos with Paul, who later introduced him to the Clippers coach. Govan shared these and a video of her son's interaction with the two influential figures on IG.
Paul is one of the most influential agents in sports and represents big names in basketball, like LeBron James. He runs the Klutch Sports Group and is also co-head of the Sports division at United Talent Agency. His company represents almost 200 professional athletes across various sports, in professional sports leagues such as the NBA, NFL, MLB and WNBA.
His company's clients include the NBA's Draymond Green, Zach LeVine, Anthony, Anthony Davis, the NFL's Odell Beckham Jr. and many more.
Chatsworth was facing El Camino Real in that game, which they won 72–51. Alijah Arenas dropped 22 points during that game, while teammate Taj Unuakhalu added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Chatsworth Chancellors.
Alijah Arenas and Chatsworth are now in 2nd place in the West Valley League
Alijah Arenas' team, the Chatsworth Chancellors, now have a 12-5 record following their win against El Camino Real on Friday. This places them second in the rankings of the league they are in, which is the West Valley League.
Cleveland High School rests atop the standings with a 14-4 record and is currently on a nine-game winning streak, with Chatsworth only a few games behind. The two top schools are scheduled to meet on Friday and again on Feb. 10.
Arenas and Chatsworth will next take on Pilibos on Friday and then Taft High on Wednesday.
