Many fans are thrilled with No. 1-ranked 2025 recruit Bryce Underwood's decision to flip his commitment and stay in-state to play for the Michigan Wolverines. This excitement was evident on Wednesday when Underwood attended the Detroit Pistons' game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Pistons warmly welcomed the high school football star, presenting him with a custom No. 19 jersey bearing his name.

Underwood shared his experience at the Pistons vs. Bucks game on Instagram, highlighting when the Little Caesars Arena scoreboard featured him.

He was seated courtside when Pistons announcer John Mason introduced him to the crowd. FanDuel's Johnny Kane interviewed him at halftime, and he talked about his decision to move from LSU to Michigan.

"Honestly, I'm very pleased with the decision that I made, and it was mainly about family and the business side of things," he said. "My family will be more settled and it makes everything easier on their end."

Underwood plays for the Belleville Tigers (Michigan) and is the consensus No. 1 prospect from the Class of 2025. He initially committed to LSU, but Michigan refused to give up on him, offering him a multi-million NIL deal and a chance to be mentored by Michigan legend Tom Brady.

Bryce Underwood sounds off on Michigan potentially getting another quarterback

Michigan is facing offensive struggles this season, prompting coach Sherrone Moore to fire offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell on Tuesday. Rumors suggest Michigan may enter the transfer portal to address the quarterback situation.

Moore is reportedly eyeing USC's Miller Moss, which could leave next season's starting quarterback position uncertain, with Bryce Underwood potentially serving as Moss' understudy. He sounded off on that possibility.

“Competition is competition,” Underwood said (h/t WolverinesWire). “No matter who they bring in, or who was there — no matter what, I’m still going to compete.”

Michigan has a history of having a culture of competition over its top spots, and Underwood has thrown the gauntlet and let people know that he is coming for that spot.
