The No. 1 basketball prospect of the class of 2025, AJ Dybantsa, has received interest from countless programs all over the country. According to ESPN, the 6-foot-9 small forward cut down the list to seven programs including Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, and North Carolina.

AJ Dybantsa received a five-star rating from On3.com, ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals. The Utah Prep school graduate was awarded the 2022-23 Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Basketball Player of the Year when he played for St. Sebastian School in his freshman year.
Dybansta averaged 19.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.5 blocks per contest.
In his interview with ESPN, Dybantsa talked about North Carolina and his ambitions of playing in the NBA:
"Great track record of bringing in guys with my playing style in the NBA. It was an easy choice to visit. Obviously, my goal is to be in the NBA. They have had guys with a track record of play like my position [that] went one-and-done. Of course, they had Michael Jordan and coach Roy Williams was coaching there before coach Hubert Davis."
Career timeline for AJ Dybantsa in 2024
When you are the No. 1 prospect in your class, offers and visits are bound to come. Dybantsa's first offer came in April 2023 from the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, his first visit was in October 2023 when he visited the USC Trojans.
In 2024, he received his first offer on January 26 from the Kansas Jayhawks, followed by an official visit to the Auburn Tigers and an offer from the Florida State Seminoles in March.
The Brockton native received four offers in May, from Duke, Houston, Rutgers, and BYU and three offers in June, from Arkansas, Kansas, and SMU. He started his visits in August after narrowing down his list to seven teams.
Dybantsa visited Kansas State in August, followed by visits to Kansas and North Carolina in September so far. The small forward has visits lined up with Alabama on September 27 and Baylor and BYU in October,
