Former five-star recruit Isaiah Jaden Collier is a rising star on the Utah Jazz roster who currently plays for Salt Lake City in the NBA G League.

Collier was drafted by the Jazz as the 29th overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. He has played 16 games in the NBA this season and has shown promise, averaging 3.5 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game.

With his game still in the developmental stages, the Jazz assigned Collier to the G-league's Salt Lake City to get regular game time.

Collier settled in well at Salt Lake City after an electrifying start in his first game for the team. The 6-foot-4 point guard posted 36 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists on 15/18 shooting from the field in just 28 minutes.

Collier’s performance helped his team secure a 131-114 victory over the Stockton Kings, the G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings.

Before the Jazz drafted him, Collier was a phenomenon in high school. He was the consensus No. 1 pick in the high school basketball class of 2023.

The Atlanta, Georgia native attended Wheeler (Marietta, Georgia), averaging 11.2 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game in 11 games during his freshman year.

Collier’s game continued to improve as he entered his junior year, during which he averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals per game.

The following season, he played at the Nike EYBL, where he averaged 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game, shooting 57.1 percent from inside the arc and 44.8 percent from three-point range.

Although he had a minor setback after suffering a meniscus injury while trying out with the United States U-18 basketball team in 2022, Collier returned stronger in the Steph Curry camp, where he was named the MVP.

Collier’s senior year turned out to be the best season of his high school basketball career. The power forward averaged 19.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game, earning the 2023 Georgia Mr. Basketball award.

He was also chosen to play in the 2023 McDonald's All-American Boys Game in Texas, scoring a game-high 25 points. The accolades kept coming for Collier in his senior year, including the Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year, Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year, and MaxPreps Player of the Year.

He capped off his senior year by helping Team USA beat Team World 90-84 at the Nike Hoops Summit, recording 11 points and 3 assists.
