Five-star recruit Isiah Harwell reacted to a Houston reveal on Instagram. On Wednesday, the official account of Houston Men’s Basketball shared an Instagram reel flaunting the Houston Cougars’ fresh jersey colorway.
The video features Houston Cougars junior guard Emanuel Sharp, senior forward J'Wan Andone Roberts and junior guard Milos Uzan in light blue jerseys with white and red accents.
The perfect color combination already entices the fans who can't wait to get one of these. Isiah Harwell, who has signed with Houston, was also impressed with the reveal. On Wednesday, he shared the reel on his IG story and wrote:
“These so tuff.”
The 6-foot-5 guard ranks No. 12 overall in the Class of 2025. Among shooting guards, he is only behind Prolific Prep’s Darryn Peterson and Overtime Elite’s Meleek Thomas.
Harwell signed with the Houston Cougars and was the second five-star prospect to pick the team since 2012. Later, Link Academy’s Chris Cenac got on board with the Cougars.
Harwell cited Houston’s consistent effort in pursuing him even during his injury and rehabilitation period, and the family atmosphere he experienced while visiting as crucial factors for his decision. Coach Kelvin Sampson was also a considerable influence.
"Coach Sampson is a cool dude," Isiah Harwell said in a conversation with ESPN. "He knows what it takes for players to reach the next level, we talked about that. I need to shoot 38-40% from 3, average six or seven rebounds and play defence on the opponent's best perimeter player. He said if you don't play defence, you won't play at Houston."
His journey at the collegiate level, especially alongside Cenac, is something fans are anticipating greatly.
